RIG [2018]

The new RIG has landed in Australia, the 2018 version of the RIG’s AUTO-LOCK system automatically locks off the load and returns the handle to its initial position, has a higher weight rating and will now work on skinnier ropes as well as being reinforced at wear points. Available in Gold or Black.

See our Blog Post

RIG is a compact self-braking descender designed for experienced rope access workers. It has an ergonomic handle that allows comfortable descent control. The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at the workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be taken up without having to manipulate the handle. The safety gate allows the rope to be installed with the device remaining connected to the harness, facilitating passage of intermediate anchors. The stainless steel wear plate improves durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone.

Duo S

Ultra-powerful with 1100 lumens in BOOST mode, the DUO S is the most powerful rechargeable headlamp in the Petzl line. It is multi-beam, and has five lighting modes, making it adaptable to every situation: close-range work, proximity, movement, rapid movement and long-range vision. Featuring the FACE2FACE anti-glare function, the DUO S headlamp allows those working in a group to face each other without blinding one another, to work together more effectively. It can be worn on VERTEX and ALVEO helmets, thanks to the included mounting plates. Of course, the DUO S is IP 67 waterproof to -1 meter for 30 minutes in fresh water and has excellent resistance to falls, to impacts and to crushing. Every tradie, rope access worker or rescue professional needs one.

Professional FAQ’S:

How do I find my product Serial Number?

INDIVIDUAL SERIAL NUMBER EVOLUTION
In order to improve the product manufacturing traceability, Petzl decided to evolve the codification of the individual Serial Number of its PPE. The new codification will include the manufacturing batch number, which will give to Petzl a faster and more precise access to all manufacturing data.

This evolution is going to be implemented gradually to the PPE all along of the Years 2016 and 2017.

Note also that Instructions for Use will include gradually these evolutions. Consequently, during these two Years 2016 & 2017, you will have seen some differences between the explanations of the serial number visible in the Instructions for Use, and the serial number visible on your PPE.

Datamatrix is going to evolve. With this new codification (type B), only the individual serial number will be readable when scanning the Datamatrix.

Can I put stickers on my helmet?

In short – yes, but it will depend on the glues used in the stickers as some glues damage the structural integrity of the helmet. See this article from Petzl in our download section.
